Dates & Times:  Classes meet 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 16 & 18, March 23 & 25, March 30 & April 1, April 6 & 8, april 13 & 15 and April 20 & 22.

Fees/Materials: Fees are inclusive of Course materials including the SHRM Learning System and online study aids.  Course materials and instructions for accessing the course orientation will be shipped to students 7 - 10 days in advance of the first class session.  Participants registering within 1 week of class start may experience a delay in access to online study resources due to processes required for assignment of user id's.  Any late registrations requiring shipment of materials will be assessed a $15 materials shipping fee. 

Course Description: The Professional HR Management Certification Prep Program is a SHRM Learning System Course®.  The program content is in alignment with the core competency areas of the HR profession and encompasses the laws governing employee hiring, management, protection and termination.  This program consists of six modules of instruction:  Strategic Management; Workforce Planning and Employment; Human Resource Development; Total Rewards; Employee and Labor Relations; Risk Management.

Admission and Eligibility of HRCI Exam Candidates: HR Certification Institute requires candidates applying to take the PHR/SPHR certification examinations to have a minimum of two (2) years exempt level HR experience. It is the candidate's responsibility to confirm they meet the examination qualifications and eligibility requirements with HR Certification Institute www.hrci.org prior to enrolling in this course. Exam registration deadlines are March 12 (Regular) and April 26 (Extended).  NIU Outreach is a provider of the SHRM Learning System prep course but assumes no responsibility or authority for the eligibility, application and admission of candidates, examination processes and award of credentials.

Payment Plan Option: Payment plan is available for those using a credit card to register.  25% of course fee to be paid at time registration and any outstanding balance charged to the credit card on file on 02/23/10. Students may make additional payments prior to the final due date. Phone the NIU Outreach registration office (800) 345-9472 to process credit card payments.  Mail checks to Outreach REgistration, 140 Swen Parson Hall, DeKalb, IL 60115. Name, address, event number and order number must be included with payment.  Credit card will be charged any outstanding balance on 02/23/10.
